PRE-SEASON EVENT:

29th – 31st August 2026STOVER COUNTRY PARK VISITORS’ CENTREMembers’ Exhibition. 10AM to 4PM. Free entry.

Paid parking available – currently £2.20 for two hours, £4.40 for all day.

  • All meetings below will be at the Courtenay Centre, unless otherwise indicated.
  • Programme may be subject to change. Check the website for any updates.
  • SPECIAL EVENTS marked on the programme will be ticketed, attracting a fee of £5.00 per member. Details of how to obtain tickets will be published soon.
September 2026

  1. Themed Challenge – Monochrome
  2. PDI Competition (Round 1)

15th       THEMED CHALLENGE EVENING – Monochrome Images: submit up to six mono images by the due date for constructive comments and suggestions for improvement. All submitted images MUST be in keeping with the theme. On 16th March 2027 we will hold a “THEMED CHALLENGE” contest (DETAILS TO FOLLOW), so this is your chance to get some advice from your fellow members.

22nd      PDI COMPETITION (Round 1)– Judged by James Moore, ARPS, a specialist in Wildlife, Landscape & Travel photography.

29th       SPECIAL EVENT: PRACTICAL with Kay Wilson: Topic  – image panels & judges’ criteria

October 2026

13th       THEMED CHALLENGE EVENING – Slow Shutter Speed: submit up to six  ‘slow shutter speed’ images by the due date for constructive comments and suggestions for improvement. All submitted images MUST be in keeping with the theme. On 16th March 2027 we will hold a “THEMED CHALLENGE” contest (DETAILS TO FOLLOW),, so this is your chance to get some advice from your fellow members.

20th       PRINT COMPETITION (Round 2) – Judged by Donna Spencer, a specialist in Birds, Street, Plants & Flowers

27th       CLUB SWAP (Part 1 of 2) – Exmouth Members to NAPC

28th       CLUB SWAP (Part 2 of 2) – NAPC Members to Exmouth

                              (Full details of Club Swaps will be divulged closer to the dates).

November 2026

3rd          PHOTOGRAPHERS WHO HAVE INSPIRED ME – several members will discuss and showing images by these photographers.

10th       WCPF Prints – the travelling exhibition of images from the Western Counties Photographic Federation will be displayed and discussed.

17th       THEMED CHALLENGE EVENING – People Working Inside or Out: submit up to six ‘People Working Inside or Out’ images by the due date for constructive comments and suggestions for improvement. All submitted images MUST be in keeping with the theme. On 16th March 2027 we will hold a “THEMED CHALLENGE” contest (DETAILS TO FOLLOW), so this is your chance to get some advice from your fellow members.

24th       PDI COMPETITION (Round 3) – Judged by  Nigel West, of Dawlish & Teignmouth Photographic Club.

December 2026

1st        PHOTO STACKING – An evening led by members which will hopefully reveal the art of photo stacks for, amongst other things, increasing depth of field in macro images.

8th        SPECIAL EVENT: PRACTICAL with David Clapp – www.davidclapp.co.uk                

Also be aware that the Pop Up Exhibition in conjunction with local schools will take place at Coombeshead Academy  from 5pm to 6.30pm

15th     CHRISTMAS SOCIAL with members’ triptych display.

25th to 1st January 2027 – A Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all!

16th   THEMED CHALLENGE COMPETITION – You’ve previously offered up your themed images for discussion, now it’s time to enter your chosen three to an ‘in-house’ competition. Full details of entry requirements will be posted at a later date.

23rd   SPECIAL EVENT: PRACTICAL – photographers Mark Walker, Clive Figes & Model will be here, along with lights etc. Bring your kit.
